MARMADUKE and his sister arrived together at the shelter in late May 2024. They are estimated at about one year of age and both should weigh more than they did at Intake. This boy was only 49 pounds and loved the treats that staff gave him during his intake process. He and his sister are listed as Great Dane mixes and both are black and white. MARMADUKE is adorably sweet and gentle. You may want to give him a hug and a kiss as soon as you see him because he has the most gentle face and manner. Thanks to a partnership between UT and Cumberland County Animal Shelter MARMADUKE was neutered on Thursday, August 1, 2024. As a result, he will be able to go home the same day that he is adopted! Serious adopters are encouraged to CALL the shelter to schedule an adoption appointment. Staff can explain the adoption procedure and fees when you call. The shelter does require EXACT change in the form of cash or a check. The shelter is UNABLE to accept credit or debit. So, please go prepared! That includes taking a dog collar and leash with you to the adoption appointment in case you do decide to adopt him. Even better, take a large dog crate with you to that appointment. No animal should be allowed to run freely in any vehicle. Especially an animal that you have just adopted! Safety first!
