Marquesas Cannon (DR6810)

DOB: 10/29/2022 Marquesas is beautiful mix of German Shepherd and Labradoodle. She's tall, lean, and has a gracefulness to her when running free in the yard. She and her sister, Fiji, are the last two of their litter still here at the shelter where they have called home since they were twelve weeks old. Marquesas is routine driven and knows her schedule here at the shelter. She's also come to know the volunteers and staff she sees daily as her family, so she can be timid and slow to approach strangers. Once she's had a proper meeting outside of her kennel with new comers, she open up into a friendly and happy girl. She's treat motivated and with some guidance, she's ready to learn. Marquesas does best when she has her sister, Fiji, by her side. Often, canine siblings turn out not to be the best companions for each other, but Fiji and Marquesas have surpassed that and look to each other for confidence. The two are in sync when they're together, following each others lead. Marquesas would do best in a home that is free of small children as she is not experienced with them. A mature, but active, home that can give her the time to settle in would be ideal. Marquesas and Fiji: the last two of the litter, named after the locations for the show Survivor, have gone through their own challenges and deserve the reward of finding their forever home.
