MARVIN - Needs a forever home!

Handsome Marvin is a 1 & 1/2 year old Terrier mix. He was a stray in Detroit found in a garage without a roof in the freezing cold. He had to be rushed to the ER vet because he was so emaciated and hypothermic. He was hospitalized for a few days receiving great care from the staff. He has gained some much needed weight, is in a foster home and is doing very well! Marvin’s favorite thing to do is curl up in your lap. He is very friendly, loves to play and loves to cuddle. He is also very food/treat motivated and is eager to please. Absolutely loves his squeaky toys! He needs a little work on walks (he’s so excited he tends to pull you to the next thing he wants to sniff) but given how quickly he picks things up it shouldn’t be a long process. Marvin does well with all dogs but plays the best with dogs similar in size. Unknown with cats. Children 12 yrs old or older, he would do best as a companion than a family dog. Marvin's forever home is required to have a totally enclosed physically fenced yard where he can safely run, play and hang out with his people. Marvin is neutered, up to date on his vaccinations, on monthly heartworm preventative as well as house and house trained. Sweet Marvin cannot wait until he finds his forever family who will love and pamper him for the rest of his life! All dogs we rescue stay with us until they find their forever homes. We do not do same day adoptions. A home visit is required to ensure our dog is going to a safe environment and our dog gets along with your dog(s) and/or cat(s). We require all our dogs over the age of 1 year attend 1 obedience class (6 week session) outside the home. You must live within 1 hour of Birmingham, MI to adopt one of our dogs.
