My Story

Now fostering in New England! Meet Mary! A sweet as pie little three-month-old pup! After traveling to New England, Mary is spreading her wings and learning how to be a pup all on her own. Her sisters were adopted, and now it's her turn! Mare Bear, as her foster mom calls her, has been doing great in her foster home and absolutely adores her foster brother. She may be tiny, but she loves to play with the big dogs. Mary is the sweetest pup with the cutest sad seal eyes that draw everyone to her. How can you say no to that face?! She is a delight to everyone who meets her and loves affection and especially snuggles from everyone. MayMay ( did we mention her foster mom has a lot of sweet nicknames for this sweet puppy) is very easygoing and has been working on her potty training and acing it like a champ. She has been working on crate training but is not a big fan. Because she is so young, she wants to be near her people. She prefers to snuggle right up with you at night and will sleep through the night without a peep as long as you're near. Mary loves to be with her people and could play all day if you let her. She is truly a happy-go-lucky girl. She's looking for someone to help her grow into the best big girl. Could it be you?! Breed: Shepherd/Beagle Sex: Female Age: 12 weeks (estimate) as of 7/29 Weight:19lbs as of 7/30 Spayed/Neutered: Too young - Spay/Neuter Contract will be required and strictly enforced. We can provide adopters with a list of low-cost SN clinics when requested. The adoption fee also includes the transport fee. ATTENTION PUPPY ADOPTERS: You must attend training/behavior classes with your new dog unless you are experienced dog owners and your adoption coordinator is comfortable with your experience. This requirement is for the benefit of you and your puppy, so if you experience behavior issues, you have a point of contact. PLEASE--Think long and hard before adopting a puppy. Consider the lifestyle change this puppy will come with. He cannot be crated for more than 3-4 hours at a time until he's older. Puppy-proofing your home will be necessary. Puppies scratch and nip, so if you have small children, can they handle this? Training will be so important in this puppy's life. Do you have the time? Please consider purchasing this book before adopting. Perfect Puppy in 7 Days - How to Start Your Puppy Off Right, Sophia Yin, DVM - it is an amazing book that we recommend very highly and have had amazing feedback on. https://www.amazon.com/Perfect-Puppy-Days-Start-Right/dp/0964151871 IMPORTANT INFORMATION - Paws New England is a foster-based rescue.
