Meet Maui! Maui is an 8 month old spayed female retriever/hound mix who weighs about 60 lbs. She first came to All 4 Paws as a young puppy with her siblings. After being dumped on the side of the road by a heartless human in torrential rain, they were lucky to be alive. They huddled together, watching the cars go by, clearly waiting for whomever dumped them to come back. Luckily, they were scooped up by a Good Samaritan and brought to safety. Maui was returned to All 4 Paws by her family because she was too much for their young child and they had another baby on the way. Maui is a rough-and-tumble kind of gal and loves to wrestle and play with her friends. Due to her size and exuberance, we will be looking for an active family with older kids for her. Maui doesn't have a mean bone in her body and makes friends wherever she goes! She isn't stingy with her love! Maui is an expert watch dog, keeping her eyes on the neighborhood from the window. She is doing great with her training but will need a family willing to keep her on a schedule and be patient with her as she learns. In the right environment we have no doubt this beautiful brindle girl will thrive and become the adventure-buddy you are looking for! Maui loves to go for walks, playing with snuggling, and crashing for a good nap on a dog bed. Her gorgeous brown eyes seemingly touch your soul when she gazes at you.
