COMPLETED TRAINING! Woof! I’m Maverick, the spirited pup with a heart as big as my floppy ears. Let me tell you my tail-wagging story: Name: Maverick, at your service! They say it means “independent thinker,” and boy, do I live up to it. Age: Born sometime in February 2023, so I’m still a young’un, learning the ropes of this doggy life. Weight: A neat 31 pounds—just the right size for cuddles and zoomies. Brainpower: I’ve got brains in my noggin! Show me a treat, and I’ll sit! I would love to work on other basic commands like stay, and maybe even roll over. Training is my jam, especially when treats are involved. Energy Level: Buckle up, folks! I’ve got more energy than a squirrel on a caffeine high. Running, chasing, and playing fetch—count me in! Favorite Toys: Squeaky toys are my jam. Give me one, and I’ll serenade you with my best squeak opera. Fearful Beginnings: When I first arrived here, I was a quivering leaf. Everything scared me—the humans, the other dogs, even the mysterious shadows. But guess what? With time, extra love, and a pocketful of treats, I realized that humans are pretty cool. Now I wag my tail at everyone! Clean Freak: I take pride in my kennel. I try my best to keep it tidy, but sometimes, nature calls at night. Oops! Social Butterfly: I’ve made friends with all the staff and volunteers. Belly rubs? Yes, please! Treats? Double yes! Cats and dogs? Well, I prefer to be the solo superstar in my forever home. The price includes: a Home Again Microchip, set of shots, de-worming, heartworm testing (if old enough), spay or neuter, and a 1 year rabies shot (if old enough). All dogs adopted must leave with a county license at an additional cost of $17, this fee is cash only. Adoption fees can be done using credit card or cash.
