Mavi

Meet Mavi! ?Mavi is a 2-year-old, 30-pound, hound/terrier mix that came to us due to her having two injured legs (on the same side!). ?After a consultation with our orthopedic veterinarian, it was determined that the injuries were old, and had already healed incorrectly. They cannot surgically repair them. ?She does use them often (the back more than the front). We have decided after caring for her for many months that amputation is NOT an option currently. ?She has adapted to her new way of mobility and does not seem to be in any pain. She can run, jump, and act like any other dog.  ?Mavi seems to like the company of other dogs, and currently resides with 5 other dogs similar in size to herself (males and females). She does not do well on leash, so she would prefer a home with a fenced in yard. She LOVES human attention and enjoys laying on top of the couch like a cat, she feels that is the best spot in the house, where she can oversee all the happenings. ?We would love for Mavi to experience the love of a family.
