MAX

Max is a sweet but shy dog, especially around people he does not know. He is not the least bit aggressive but tentative about walking on leash, probably because he has little experience walking on leash. He is a medium large dog, about 55 pounds, so should probably not go in a home with really small children under about four years old. But he is gentle and should do fine with older kids. He tries to be house trained and should pick it up easily once he is in a home where he can go out frequently. Max needs to practice his leash walking skills but would love a big fenced yard where he can spend some time running around leash-free. He may be selective about his dog friends but we suspect he can adjust to living with another dog. Max would love a forever home with a family who will be patient with him as he learns to trust again and who will give him lots of the TLC he needs.
