MEET MAX!

About MAX :   Max needs a new home, and while we don't have room in our program, we are more than happy to help him.  His mom writes about him below.  If you want to offer Max the loving FOREVER home he deserves, please SEND AN EMAIL right away for more information!

Max is a 7 year old, neutered, Alaskan Malamute and he's a big boy, I would guess he weighs around 130+ lbs.   We've had Max since his was 8 weeks old and my husband and I are heart broken that we must find him a new home.  We’ve recently had to move and with the addition of a newborn it’s become impossible to provide Max with the time and attention he deserves, so it is very important to us that we find a great home for him.

Max will require his annual exam and rabies vaccination this summer.  Max is crate trained; however, we rarely use the crate as he has earned run of the house.  He’s used to being around other animals both dogs & cats, although, at times, he has had issues with resource guarding.  Max has a high prey drive and will chase the things that run in your back yard like rabbits, squirrels, etc.  He is tolerant of strangers and has always accepted anyone we’ve brought into our home.  He especially loves children and will go out of his way to meet and play with them.  Max is what I call “a certified Houdini” and will take any chance he can to escape, including from enclosures -- so you will need a well built fence or kennel to contain him.  Max is used to spending his time during the day outdoors and then coming inside in the early evenings to spend time with the family before going to sleep.  Max LOVES  car rides, going on walks and laying in your bed.  He’s a great dog and I pray his forever home is out there.

If you want to help MAX , SEND AN EMAIL for more information!  TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE.
