Max's is mom is trying to find him a loving home. As much as it saddens her, she feels he would be better off in a home that can give him what he deserves - here is what she has to say about the great dog:
Max is a wonderfully handsome Smooth Fox Terrier. He might be a purebred from backyard stock or may be part Rat Terrier. He is probably about 9 years old but may be younger. He is at an ideal weight of approx 23 lbs. This breed can live a nice long time, so you could have many years of quality time with him. Max is very healthy now but may have had a rough life in the past. He is a tri-color with lots of shiny black. He will let you do anything to him, bathe, trim nails, clean ears, check teeth, whatever. Max is physically a very low maintenance dog. He does not require a lot of yard. He is pet door trained and crate trained. Max would be a great companion dog for an at home person and maybe for a girl over 8. I say “girl” because he does not play ball or do those outside rough stuff that many boys might want their dog to do. But he would sit with you for hours and maybe let you dress him up if you wanted to. He wants to sit with or on you and he is a warm cuddly sleeping partner. Max walks nicely on a leash and likes to ride in the car. (He will bark though if left in the car.) He is okay with cats and good with most dogs. Max has become dominant towards one of my other male dogs, and that is the ONLY reason he needs to find a new home. Max is loads of fun and will entertain you and keep you company. He will give you lots of attention and only wants to be with you and have a nice place to live. Please consider Max as your next pet. Email if you would like to know more about Max.
Max is located in Paradise CA, near Chico, which is 2 hrs north of Sacramento.
Max will come with his red collar and leash, his Veterinary records, a starter bag of dog food, one month of Heartgard Plus, and a chew hoof.
Max is current on all shots, heartworm tested negative and on prevention, neutered, housetrained, microchipped.
