Maximus

*This is a courtesy listing.* Meet Maximus! 9-year-old Maximus needs a loving new home because his mom passed away recently, and his elderly dad is unable to care for him. Thankfully, they have a supportive family who is helping them look for the very best home for Maximus, a little boy with a big name and sweet personality! Maximus is very friendly to people and loves attention. He was his mom's best boy, always sitting in her lap and enjoying pets and cuddles. Maximus is described as a fairly low energy dog that loves to sleep on his owner's bed and relax during the day. His owners did not usually walk him, so wandering around an enclosed yard is the activity level he is used to. Given the opportunity, Maximus would likely really enjoy going for walks and exploring! Maximus is accustomed to having people at home to let him potty outdoors. He will bark for attention to be let out. Other things Maximus is used to: having food available to graze on and living with two larger dogs before they passed away. He would be able to acclimate to living with other dogs again, but he definitely wouldn't mind being the only dog and getting all of the attention! Maximus would be a great work-from-home buddy or companion for retirees like his mom and dad. Maximus currently lives in Texas, but his family is willing to transport him to find the best home.
