On our way to work this morning we found this baby sitting in a ditch, water was flowing through and covering the bottom half of her body. Her back right leg was hanging behind her. She couldn't move. She was in extreme pain, and hypothermic due to being stuck in the water. It was God that laid us in her path. And we know that. I'm not sure how long she was sitting there for, just waiting for help. We suspect she was ran over by a car. We quickly pulled her out of the water and rushed her to one of our vets. Oddly enough, it was just right down the street. Another sign we were placed in her path for a reason! Her body temperature was low and she had several breaks and a fractured pelvis. She was covered in wounds that have now healed. Sadly, we had to amputate her leg, but that doesn't keep her spirits down at all! During this entire process, May has been full of tail wags and kisses. She truly is grateful and it shows! We have put in all of the time, and work to teach her how to walk again. May is fully capable of living a long and happy life. She truly is the perfect girl!
