Meet Maya, a sweet senior soul who has overcome some tough challenges in life. She experienced the loss of her human dad and the devastation of her home in a fire, forcing her and her mom to live in their car. Despite her hardships, Maya remained loving and resilient. However, her mom, overwhelmed by circumstances, made the difficult decision to surrender Maya to the shelter, where she developed some separation anxiety.
Despite these obstacles, Maya is a wonderful companion with a heart full of love to give. She's medium-energy, affectionate, and enjoys both walks and relaxing on the couch. At 12 years old, Maya still has a playful spirit and is great with other dogs. She's known for her sweet nature, cuddles, and friendly demeanor. While she spends some evenings crated due to her foster family's work schedules and to help with her anxiety, Maya is hoping to find a loving forever home where she can share her unconditional love and joy to spend her senior years.
