Kids: Would prefer a no kid or older kids home Medical: Currently takes medication for her nervousness Adoption fee: $550 Meet Maya, a smart, loving, goofy, and gentle soul looking for her forever home. She is a familiar face as she did go by “Ariel” when she first came into foster care. Maya suits her so much better!  Shy at first, but once you get to know her, she will melt your heart with her affectionate nature. She thrives on human interaction. She is also a fashionista who has become accustomed to wearing jackets, scarves, and harnesses without any fuss and stands patiently while being dressed. Maya is fully housetrained, crate trained, and enthusiastic about car rides! She also uses her kennel as a haven when wanting space at home. Maya deals with separation anxiety issues when being left alone which manifests in shaking. She has improved to the point that she can be home alone for a few hours with no issues. She is on meds to help with her anxiety and is doing really well on them however she needs a creative pill giver ;) (current trick is tuna).  To ensure this beautiful girl’s happiness and well-being, it’s important her new home is calm and peaceful, with a predictable routine. The ideal home for Maya would be one with adults or older children who can provide her the love, attention and patience she deserves. Her gentle nudges remind you to rub her head or scratch her ears in case you forget!
