Hi! My name is Mazzi and I am available for adoption. I was brought in by an Animal Control Officer on 06/14/2024. I was then returned on 06/28/24 due to needing to be the center of attention. I didn't like sharing my people with the other two dogs in the house, nor my food. I have show a tendancy to even protect empty bowls from other dogs, so it is best to simply pick my things up and not leave them laying around once I am done with them! Otherwise, I did very well with the 5 year old child in the home and a huge cuddle-bug! My favorite past time was snuggling up in a lap and chilling. I am considered a medium breed dog. I am a sweet girl who needs someone special for me and me alone. I love with my whole heart and I am bad at sharing! I am shy at first and tend to like having my own area that is my 'safe' space. A kennel is a good way to facilitate this! My caregivers have noticed that I seem to do well with both small dogs and large dogs, but only for playtime outside of the home. Since being in the shelter, my outlook on life has shifted, and I hold on tightly to those who love me. I want to be the ONLY dog in the home. Please, no other dogs. Because of my shy nature, I would do best in a calm, quiet home. I am a bit fearful at first but once I warm up, my heart is yours. I am a gentle and loving dog who likes to take things slow. I may get nervous in new situations, so I am looking for a family who understands that I might take some time to warm up. Once I get to know you, I will be a very devoted friend!
