Donate Dober Duds MEA. Mea is a 1.5 year old dobe girl that came to IDR+ because her owner could no longer care for her due to health concerns. The owner is on bed rest with her third child on the way. According to the owner, Mea grew up with young children in the family. This is evident from her behavior around people; she does not seem to be afraid of loud or high pitched noises or fast movement; she even rides very well in the car. While we've only had her for a short time, it is easy to see that Mea is a sweet and very loving dobe. She greets you with kisses on your hands and loves to be petted and be with her people. She's perfectly happy sitting next to you with her head on your lap. She's also very gentle and quiet. The only time she really barks is when she hears somebody at the door- a true dobe. Mea is a low to medium energy dog; she loves to run around and play ball so some yard play and a walk or two will suit her just fine. Mea is currently being fostered with another large dog and gets along great with him. They give each other kisses and wrestle playfully. She also seems to be good with small dogs and will just follow them around without invading their space or being overbearing and wanting to play all the time. Mea is crate trained and loves her little private place and feels very comfortable in it. The door is always left open and she goes in her crate when she wants a break from her boisterous doggy roommate. She is a little underweight at the moment, but with proper nutrition and care she'll be in tip top shape in no time. Mea knows some basics like sit, down, paw, walking on leash and is working on many more.
