Melia (Mia) ***FOSTER OR ADOPTER NEEDED FOR EASY GIRL!***

We are so thrilled to welcome Mia in as one of our Pals! This sweet girl was surrendered to an overcrowded county shelter along with her brother when their elderly owner could no longer care for them. A story we see time and time again... She and her brother were well-loved their whole lives as far as we know, and winding up in a scary shelter at 8 years old, sleeping alone on a concrete floor instead of a soft bed, locked up instead of just relaxing in their home, was not something they could understand, and is so terribly sad to even think about. Thankfully we were able to save not just Mia, but also her brother Max, our available husky!! Check him out too! Our dream would be to find one home to take them in together, but we are certainly open to just getting them into loving homes of their own as well, now that they have already been separated for months. :( Mia is calm and loving, housetrained, easily walked on a leash, and LOVES being with her people! We were told she was dog friendly (and certainly was with Max!) but since being in the shelter she doesn't seem overly thrilled with dogs she doesn't know. A meet & greet is always required for dogs being adopted into homes that already have their own, and Mia will be no different. Overall, she will be an easy, affectionate companion to her new family very quickly!
