Mercedes

Mercedes is approx. 6 1/2 yrs old in these pictures taken May 12, 2007. Poor Mercedes has been at the shelter since she was about 2 years old. She is a very friendly and loving girl. Mercedes is as beautiful on the inside as she is on the out. She is a big teddy bear and loves attention. While she is little shy at first, all you have to do is give her a treat and she puts you in her heart and trusts you. Mercedes loves to go for walks and is good on a leash. Just a SUPER DUPER dog. Soooooooooooo Sweet too. We know that she would be the perfect dog for someone willing to give her a chance.

Mercedes' kennel mates, Ben and Scottie, were adopted and she is sad without them. She was with her other kennel mates for 3 - 4 yrs. Although she had new kennel mates since, they are not the same. Mercedes has gotten along with every dog she has been placed with, whether it was a male or female.

May 2007 - UPDATE:
Mercedes went to the vet this month for a dental and blood work. Her teeth were in good shape and her blood work was great. Mercedes weighed 64.5 pounds. She was very good in the car and at the vet's office.

We do not know if she is housetrained, likes cats, or if she would be good with children under 10 (we rarely get children younger than 10 at the shelter). Like 99% of the animals at the shelter, she was picked up as a stray off the street.
