Little Meredith is an intentional Yorkie/Bichon cross. She only weighs 8 pounds and is non shed. Meredith and her brother Chibby were left in a crate in an auction barn with a sign that read "good with children". They would have been snatched up but for one very obvious problem - they were crawling with 1000s of fleas. Fleas on top of fleas on top of fleas. No one wanted to take that home so there they sat all day until we came and took them into rescue.
Meredith is a soft and cuddly little girl. She loves sitting on your lap and doing whatever it is that you want to do. Meredith does have a bit of a tom boy side to her as she loves to swim in the pond and even enjoys accompanying the resident Jacks on a hunt. But her favorite past-time is a spot on someone lap or to do whatever it is you are doing.
Meredith would be fine in a home with children older than 7. She is perfect in the house and has not had one accident. She must sleep in bed, does not like a crate. She is good on a leash and in the car.
Meredith's hair has been cut with scissors and her adopter should consider that she will have a much longer coat.
Meredith would enjoy a home where someone is home more than not. She is fine with other dogs and with cats and is used to living with a fenced in yard.
This darling little dog will make the perfect family dog or personal companion.
