Mia

Sometimes things happen for a reason ?? Mia has been in rescue for a minute but because of that we have been able to make sure she is receiving the best care in the meantime! Mia was diagnosed with Addison’s Disease a few months ago, but something didn’t seem to add up. Upon review of her records, it was determined that the test she was given ruled out the possibility of Addison’s and the vet said the issues with her weight were likely a mix of her body type and a strong metabolism. He also mentioned that sometimes white dogs just have quirks ????? Mia was weaned off the steroids and has since been doing great! Mia is a coonhound/curr/pittie mix. She was born into rescue July of 2022 (see a couple cute baby pics at the end ?) and originally adopted as a puppy, but things didn’t work out and she made her way back to us. She has the derpiest personality and can be a little clumsy. She is a medium sized girl but pretty tall and might be better around kids (and adults) who can tolerate being bumped into. Mia is amazing in the crate. She settles quickly and sleeps through the night. She is crated through the day and has no issues there either. She enjoys using her nose to sniff out treats and her kibble. She enjoys playing with other dogs (she loves hanging at Club K9 Dog Bar), but she can also entertain herself. It can take a minute for her to warm up to you, but once she does, she won’t be able to get close enough to you. She is the biggest cuddler in the world.
