My Story

Update from - Next- Door K9 Solutions of Clarksville Mia ??? such a sweet girl!! If you didn’t know Mia is currently with us to work on her dog reactivity and she ALSO is up for adoption at HumphreysCounty HumaneSociety! Mia is fantastic with cats ? and has already come such a LONG-Way with her reactivity as you can tell in the picture ? After training Mia Will be fantastic for walking on Leash and would make a great hiking partner!!! Along with other commands like Sit, Down, Stay, Bed, kennel trained, and more!! Whomever adopts Mia DOES receive free training from us ********** Update - Just dropped off Mia at the trainers. She was awesome in the van. Best car rider ever. She was a little nervous at first but quickly warmed up to everyone. I will keep you posted . ********* You already know Mia, but we have some very exciting news to share about her future. Mia was an owner surrender because she did not get along with all the dogs and finding a home for a single pup is challenging. We knew we had to help Mia and she needed to leave the Shelter. So we searched for the perfect trainer and hit the jackpot. The Humphreys County Humane Society is excited to announce a partnership with NextDoor K9 (NDK9) Solutions in Clarksville Tennessee to provide training to some of our dogs who are finding shelter life challenging. Mia, is our first selection to receive this life-saving training. She will be leaving on 24 July and returning 7 August. While the off site training is critical to her success, NDK9 Solutions stresses that the second part is just as important. Reinforcement of the training is necessary for her success and this reinforcement needs to be accomplished either in a foster home or adopters home. NDK9 Solutions will provide transition training to Mia and her foster or adopter. Please reach out to us if you are able to help. We need you and more importantly, Mia needs you. Message us here today if you can help
