Middy

7/25/06: Middy has been with us for 2 weeks and is already showing dramatic improvement with her fear issues. Although still a bit apprehensive, each day we are seeing a positive change in her. We have brought Middy UTD with vacc and have had her microchipped. She is ready to come home! Middy is a purebred chocolate dachshund. VERY beautiful! She is extremely scared so she has not cooperated with getting her picture taken. Middy arrived here with Gigi and it would be nice if they could stay together as they are very attached to one another but we will separate them if we have to. Middy is not used to small children and we do not recommend her for a home with little ones. She also does not adjust to new situations well so she will need an understanding, patient owner. Middy is already spayed, UTD with vacc(will expire this month but we will renew prior to going home), and we were told,housebroken to a doggie door. Middy does not like collars due to a very bad, near death experience with one and she doesn't like baths. Her owner says she would scream like she was being tortured when getting a bath. Middy needs some work but with a patient, firm and loving owner, she will make a wonderful companion.
