My Story

Midge is an approximately 12 year old, 5-6 pound Chihuahua who came to us recently after she was found as a stray wandering around the side of a highway.   She was never reclaimed, so now she is happily in a foster home, putting on some much-needed weight and soaking up a lot of love.  Midge will see our vet soon for a complete exam and a dental.   What few remaining teeth she has are pretty bad so we expect her to lose most, if not all, of her teeth.  But she won't care, she happily chows down all of her meals.  Midge is a super sweet little girl who currently gets along with all of the small dogs in her foster home.  She is quite timid and nervous at times, but she loves attention and would prefer to be by your side all of the time.  With the exception of a potty or two on a pee pad, Midge appears to be housebroken and sleeps through the night without issue.   Scary things to Midge are the vacuum cleaner, fast movements, and big dogs.  She was not a fan of big dogs going past her while she was at the shelter serving her stray hold and she randomly charges the baby gate separating her from big dogs in her foster home.   She will very loudly tell them she isn't a fan, therefore we would prefer her forever home to be without big dogs. We ask for no children as well- they’re just too scary! As Midge is slowly coming out of her shell, her personality is really starting to shine!   She will definitely bring a lot of love and joy to her new family!    Could it be you?   Please apply today
