Mika

Mika is one of 6 female puppies, mixed breed, a little over 8 months old, and weighing over 60 pounds, probably something like Anatolian Shepherd, but we're not sure as they all look a little different. Mika is what I call sable (brown) with extensive white markings. She likes attention from people and her sisters and loves toys. She is very skittish at first and will need some time and patience when it comes to training her. Adoption fee $75 can be waived for the right home. She is house-trained with a doggie door. Foster notes: Mika prefers to spend most of her days outside, playing with her littermates. She especially likes Winda, who resembles Mika. As her foster, at this time, I feel Mika would do best in a home where she has a doggie door, can come inside to get out of the weather (hot or cold) and still spend as much time as she chooses outside. She has a wading pool and a mister currently as well as lots of shade trees and 5 other pups her age to play with. She is fearful of a leash and collar. I do feel someone skilled and patient at working with shy dogs could work with her she would be more trusting. I have posted a photo of the 2 girls together, Mika on the right with the white chest and taller white markings on her feet. The girls would be excellent 'alert' dogs, letting you know if strangers are approaching.
