Meet one of our newest puppy mill rescues, Millie! This 5 ish year old Bichon girl spend her whole life in cage in an Amish puppymill and is still getting used to the idea that there is a better life out there. She’s timid but sweet and already starting to wag her tail at us, the boldest and most social of the most recent bichon trio we took in. She had an entire pack of Q-Tips’ worth of yeasty debris in her ears and is getting treated for an ear infection as well as a dental, and she’s spayed and updated on shots. She loves other dogs and is a follower, so a home with at least one other more social dog is a must for sure. Housebreaking and leash walking are still foreign concepts and she will need time and patience. She’s 17lbs full grown and ready to start her new life. We are a small all-volunteer organization focused on rescuing local dogs from area shelters, as well as accepting some surrenders and puppy mill rescues.
