Mimosa

Mimosa is 4 years old! She is around 70 pounds and a big cuddle bug. Per Wisdom Panel she is a German Shepherd/Great Pyrenees/American Pit Bull Terrier/Chow Chow/Siberian Husky Mix, along with 11 other breeds. She is great with cats. She is excellent on a leash, house trained, and kennel trained. Mimosa is nervous around anything new and will bark at first, but once she is comfortable and knows her surroundings, she stops barking. She needs an adopter that will be understanding of this and allow her time to become comfortable. She is more comfortable around females, then males. Although Mimosa is good around children and teenagers, a quieter home would be best for her. We are dedicated to rescuing dogs in shelters, dogs in abusive or neglectful situations, and dogs surrendered by their owners because of difficult circumstances. We place dogs in loving, responsible, committed permanent homes, following a comprehensive adoption process, which includes taking considerable care in finding good matches and educating prospective adopters about the responsibilities and costs of bringing a dog into their homes and lives. Dogs in our care are spayed or neutered, microchipped, receive all appropriate veterinary care and treatment, and placed in nurturing foster homes while they await placement in their permanent homes. We assist dogs in distress without regard to age, breed or ease of placement. Dogs in the greatest need take priority. Finally, we strive to work with shelters and other rescue and humane organizations to develop a network of supporters and volunteers in order to create a better world for homeless dogs.
