My Story

Hi there! I'm Mindee, a friendly female Beagle with a big heart and an even bigger love for attention. I'll approach any human just to get some pets, and I have a special fondness for butt scratches. I'm a social butterfly and absolutely love playing in playgroups with other dogs. I'm always inviting anyone walking by my kennel to say hello. I don't walk on a leash yet, but I'm sure with a little patience, I'll get the hang of it. I absolutely adore kids and have a special way of leaning up against my gate, looking up with a face that's ready for a glamour shot. If you're looking for a friendly, affectionate companion who loves to socialize, I'm your girl. Let's make some wonderful memories together! - - - - - Prior to being rescued, many of our dogs have experienced minimal socialization. As a result, there is often an adjustment period when learning about life as a family pet. We typically do not adopt to homes with young children. Homes with older children will be considered on an individual basis. Common skills such as house training and leash walking will often take a little extra time. Patience, understanding and a gentle hand are a must. The great news is, most of these dogs come around rather quickly and being a part of their rehabilitation is an extremely rewarding experience.
