Meet Mindy, an adorable 9 year old, 11 lb, cream colored Shih Tzu girl. She is a sweet soul who enjoys being outside in her fenced backyard, car rides, belly rubs, playing with toys and her K9 foster siblings. Even though Mindy can have her spurts of energy, her goal in life is to be your sidekick and fellow “couch potato”. She is a retired breeding kennel mamma, and like most of these pups, she needs a quiet home, and another dog to continue to learn from and help her adjust to her new life.
She is house trained and leash trained (she loves walks), but she has not been able to manage stairs. She would need a one level home or someone who will be able to carry her up and down stairs as needed.
Mindy loves her humans but is slow to warm up to new people. She would do best in a home that has adults only or older children. Mindy is dog AND cat tested and is fostering in western PA.
