Minnie (in foster)

*ADOPTION FEE SPONSORED by Santa Cruz Realtor Loren Morse* This is Minnie. She serves glazed chocolate stares that can really reach the soul. See exhibit A, B, C, and D. What a special one she is. Something about this 1-year-old German Shepherd mix's demure presence is just so kind and tender. She's not one to bounce around and bowl you over, she keeps her mouth to herself, and quietly observes her surroundings. She's wise beyond her years and gives that old soul vibe. Minnie came to us from a partner shelter where she was surrendered, however we don't know much about her history. A foster who had her for a brief time found Minnie to be a bit timid at first but quick to warm up with some vocal and edible reassurance. Then, it was all love, full body wiggle greetings and regular lean-ins for scratches and body rubs. She also showed her silly side, and LOVES fetching balls and toys. Even when in play mode, she's still very polite and gentle. Minnie has done well with respectful dogs but really isn't a fan of the "in your face" approach and will quickly let her boundaries be known. She's done well with respectful children who are gentle and could make a great family dog to the right group of humans. She's great in the car, good on-leash, and well-behaved in the home. Again, Minnie is a special one that you shouldn't miss out on if you're in the market for an absolute sweetheart.
