BEAUTIFUL, YOUNGER PUREBRED CHOW GIRL, VERY SWEET AND DOG FRIENDLY, WILL BE AVAILABLE TO ADOPT 7/2, BUT ALSO LOOKING FOR A FOSTER AND RESCUE, SHELTER IS SMALL AND FULL. We were contacted by a good Samaritan about 3 roaming purebred looking chows, 2 of which were caught and brought to the Corona shelter. The third chow is still missing sadly. We are told these dogs are friendly and have a known owner who never came to reclaim them. We suspect they may have been used to breed, but the shelter will see they are spayed and neutered in the future. These dogs may be adopted separately (or together if you prefer), and are expected to be available on 7/2 when their stray/chip hold expires. We had someone sent us nice video in the interim showing they are sweet. Missy the female is 4, and Bruno the male is said be 9 years young. They are currently kenneled together due to lack of space, and get along fine, but may be separated by the shelter in the future, unless someone decides to adopt them both. The dogs have not been tested with other dogs yet while on their stray hold, but this could be requested if needed. Once available, chow experience is always a plus and recommended. At a minimum, we ask that you read up on and fully understand the breed’s temperament. We do not normally recommend purebred chows for first time adopters or homes with small children, or apartment renters, due to the breed, and breed restrictions.
