Misty

Do you guys remember Misty? That sweet little girl that Jenni pulled out of the Devore shelter back in October. Do you remember her story? She was just a puppy, living in a disgusting all dirt back yard. And her owner put a collar on her. Which normally isn't a big deal, all dogs wear collars. Well, Misty's collar was never taken off. As she grew, it didn't. Eventually it was so tight, that her skin split and started to grow over it. There was no escape from the pain, that collar tethered her in the yard. Flies ate away at her ears. One day, after abusing her long enough to get at least one or two litters out of her tiny body, the owner dumper her somewhere far away. Away from her babies and the backyard that was her entire miserable life. Can you imagine how scared she must have been? Then to be picked up by animal control and taken to a shelter, full of barking and crying dogs. And finally, that collar is cut out and her body can start to heal! Misty is all healed up now and ready for a home to call her own! She prefers a calm environment and will actively seek them out when she's with other huskies, especially if they are getting too rowdy! Relaxing and lounging are her favorite pastimes, and she enjoys being lazy! Safe to say she loves to nap too! She is not inclined to cuddle with people but will allow you to pay attention to her. Given everything that she went through in her first two years, I can't blame her. Hopefully, the right family is out there. She deserves to have someone who will love her and take care of her. The way she should have been in the first place.
