Hello. My name iis Mitzi! I am a super sweet female Border Collie/Shephard mix who was born around 05/19/24. I am heartworm-negative and up to date on my vaccines. On July 4th, 2024 I eighed 8 pounds. My paws are little so my foster mom thinks I'll be a medium sized dog. I get along great with my foster siblings who are both large and small breed dogs. I am a puppy and I love to chew. I'm being crate trained and already sleep in one all night. I will whine when I have to go to the bathroom if you don't wake me to go beforehand. I already know how to come in and out of the doggie door. I'm very playful and full of energy... and I LOVE to play in the water! I love kids and get along great with cats. My foster mama says I'm an absolute doll. Because we’re able to transport, we ARE able to accept adoption applications directly from residents of MI. Why do we transport? Because animal overpopulation is severe in our region, and stray and unwanted dogs have very little chance of finding a home here. These babies are, however, at a high risk of being neglected, abused, abandoned, euthanized or even shot (it’s “the way things are done” for some people down here). YOU are truly one of the only safe and happy endings for the lucky ones we are able to rescue. Upon approval of your adoption application, we will then transport your new furbaby to you in the metro Detroit area for just a small travel expense fee of $50 in addition to the adoption fee.
