Mocha

Hello there! My name is Mocha, and I'm a charming 2-year-old female looking for my forever home. I was found in Flint extremely pregnant. I gave birth two days after I got taken off the street. I may be a bit selective with new people at first, but once I warm up to you, I promise to be the most loyal and loving companion you could ask for. Here's a little bit about me: Personality: I'm a sweet and intelligent girl who thrives on trust and patience. Once I feel secure, I'm playful and affectionate. I definitely have my quirks, my current foster parents are figuring them out but I look forward to exploring my personality more in my forever home! Activity Level: I enjoy daily walks and love exploring the yard. Whenever I’m in the yard, I always get the zoomies and have to show my dad how fast I can run! I enjoy playing with my foster siblings, however I haven’t quite figured out how to play properly yet. I love exploring the neighborhood and going for car rides. When I’m done with all that I enjoy a nice nap in my crate or a bed, whichever I’m feeling at the time. It doesn’t take much to get my energy out and then I’m ready to relax. Training: Due to my previous circumstances, training is a bit tough for me. I don’t like to take treats from anyone but I do respond positively to back and butt scratches. I will however, take any opportunity to steal food out of dad’s bag when we go for car rides. My foster dad figured out that I can be recalled with squeaky toys because I’m so interested in them! I would love to be able to work on my training with someone who has the time and patience to work with me and help me become the best dog I can be. -Ideal Home: I would do best in a calm environment as loud and sudden noises do scare me, I would do well with adults and most older kids. A home with patient owners who understand that building trust takes time would be amazing. A fenced yard would be a bonus for me to roam and play safely as I do have a little prey drive and will pull when I see any wildlife. I'm currently in search of a loving family who will give me the time and space I need to blossom.
