Hello, everyone! My name is Montana, but most of my friends call me “Monty.” I’m a long-coated White German Shepherd so I have soft fluffy fur that everyone likes to touch. My exact age is not known, but the vet thinks I am around 9 years old. Not to worry! I have the heart of a puppy and the “get-up-and-go” to match! I love to play fetch and go for walks or rides in the car. My foster mom says I am very well-behaved and totally housebroken. So, I won’t get into mischief if left in the house uncrated. I am a wonderful ambassador of my breed, always welcoming and friendly to all, be it kids, adults, cats or other dogs. I’m a great companion for working out in the yard or around the house. I like to be near my human friends while in the house, so will settle down on the floor close by. I have not been interested in getting on the furniture, but a cozy dog bed would be nice! It would also be easier for me to get around on a floor with carpeting. I avoid the steep stairs here since they are not carpeted. The only other thing I don’t like is THUNDER! I just try to hide. Before I came to this rescue I was successfully treated for heartworm so am healthy and ready to go to my forever home.
