MONTY, a striking 4-year-old Poodle-Husky mix, boasts a majestic white coat complemented by captivating blue eyes. (He is NOT hypoallergenic and DOES shed!) Weighing in at 90 pounds, his presence is as grand as his heart. Monty is a testament to the harmonious blend of his breeds, inheriting the intelligence and elegance of the Poodle, along with the Husky's adventurous spirit and resilience. Training Monty is a joy, thanks to his keen intelligence and eagerness to please. He's mastered a repertoire of commands and tricks that never fail to impress. Above all, Monty embodies the joy and unconditional love pets bring into our lives. His adventurous spirit encourages outdoor escapades, while his calm, affectionate nature makes every moment a comfort. Monty has lived with a Yorkie in the past and has seemed to be good with other dogs, although can be resource guardy. He loves people, but because of that resource guarding, we're saying no kids, too. He's not ever been around cats. (Monty is available in conjunction with one of our rescue partners down towards NYC, and so we would accept a wider range of distance of applicants for him, especially down in that direction.) Adoption fee covers: all vetting to age (including deworming, deflea etc ), spay/neuter and microchip after 6 months of age at our clinic, $60 rebate for completion of positive-based training classes, and lifetime support of rescue. We do most application processing virtually and dog meets will be individually by appointment with ONLY APPROVED APPLICANTS. We are not a shelter and are completely foster-based, so there is no central place to come see all of the dogs available. PLEASE NOTE: If a dog is listed as Adoptable, he or she is still available at that time. Also, our adoption area is within a several hour radius of us in Rochester, NY (NOT including Canada - sorry!)
