Meet Moose, The Gentle Giant! Moose is an extraordinary male American Bulldog! He was born around 11/06/19, weighs 81 lbs., is neutered, heartworm negative and UTD on vaccines and preventatives. Moose is a survivor! He was shot in the abdomen and wasn't brought to the vet until 1 week later when his owners surrendered him. After having emergency surgery, he was picked up by his foster mom to start the healing process. Here's what his foster has to say about him: "The world is a sweeter place with Moose in it! He is AMAZING! So sweet and has been my lap dog! He's such a gentleman, very well trained. He pays no attention to the neighborhood cats and is great buddies with my tiny dogs! They treat him as if he's their baby! He thinks he's as small as them, and they think they're as big as him. They are hysterical to watch. Moose is a very laid-back, sweet boy who is just grateful for a safe home, food and someone to love. He will make an amazing companion for a special person out there! If you would like to adopt Moose, please apply TODAY! Currently this sweet baby is with our rescue in Arkansas. We DO, however, transport monthly to the metro Detroit area of MI. Because we’re able to transport, we ARE able to accept adoption applications directly from residents of MI. Why do we transport? Because animal overpopulation is severe in our region, and stray and unwanted dogs have very little chance of finding a home here. These babies are, however, at a high risk of being neglected, abused, abandoned, euthanized or even shot (it’s “the way things are done” for some people down here). YOU are truly one of the only safe and happy endings for the lucky ones we are able to rescue. Upon approval of your adoption application, we will then transport your new furbaby to you in the metro Detroit area for just a small travel expense fee of $50 in addition to the adoption fee.
