Wide-eyed with wonder, tiny 2-year-old Morris is 5 petit pounds of sugar and spice with a splash of sass! Slowly settling into his foster home and accustoming himself to his doggy foster friends of assorted sizes, he loves being held, cuddled and petted by his fosters, and seems especially enamored with one of his fellow chi mixes, eagerly following him everywhere he goes. Since these are still early days, Morris can be both shy and self-sufficient, easygoing and energetic, dominant and darling. Learning how to walk properly on a leash, he walks best in the company of his fellow foster dogs, and because of his size, one or two daily walks should suffice. Particularly fond of car rides, he's potentially a perfect road trip companion, and he behaved beautifully when he and his fosters visited a local brewery, acting like the gentleman he aspires to be. While he currently knows no commands, he's still at work on his leash skills, is never crated and is almost fully house-trained. Only just embarking on life's real journey, little Morris will thrive in a loving home that will patiently bolster his confidence, continue his socialization and complete his training, including his commands, in exchange for his own enduring loyalty and love. To ensure each pet finds the best possible home, we ask you fill out our adoption application so we can learn more about you and your household. We review each application in the order submitted and will contact you within 48 hours (please check your spam folder for our emails). If you and the dog are a good match then we'll connect you with our dog's foster parents to chat more in-depth. If both you and the foster agree that the dog is a good fit then a meet and greet is scheduled. We require applicants' dogs to meet ours to ensure they get along. We'll ask you to read and sign our adoption agreement and pay the adoption fee to complete the adoption when it comes time. Our adoption fees help cover the costs of saving more lives! A home visit will be scheduled within one week of your new pet going home with you. The adoption fee for this pet is $400. Our adoption fee covers the following: Spay/neuter Microchip DAPP vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog. Rabies vaccinations as age-appropriate for the dog.
