Mr. Peanut

I don't want any sympathy. I just want another home to live in my senior years. HI - my name is Mr. Peanut and all I've known is a marvelous home with a wonderful lady. We've lived together ALL my life. She was the peanut butter to my jelly meaning we were tight. Life was good. She needed to be taken care of - more than I could do and went to a place where she could be looked after. The place doesn't allow dogs and that is why I found myself here looking for another home. I may be a senior dog, but everyone is shocked when they hear I'm 11. I can jump in the car and on really high beds with no problem. Everyone says I do not act like a senior dog because I'm full of fun and personality. The staff and volunteers have raved about me. I am such a great walker on a leash that they allow brand new volunteers to walk me. Impressive - huh? I AM a lover and very affectionate to all the people. I already know commands such as come, sit and down. No need to teach me how to behave in your home. I love all people - men and women the same. I love kiddos too, but I get excited at times so the shelter recommends kiddos older than 5. As you can imagine, I'm so unhappy at the shelter even though all are so good to me. It is not HOME. I have been lucky and had sleepovers at volunteers' homes. I am so happy and GREAT in a home environment. One volunteer has a fenced yard. Another one does not. I do not care at all!! I love to run in the fenced yard but happy as a lark to do my business on a leash. And both allowed me to sleep with them. I was in heaven. I'm a super cuddler/bed companion. I don't need to be kenneled but they wanted to try me out with a dog camera on me - sneaky of them! Oh, I barked at first for maybe 30 seconds and then stopped and was fantastic until they came home. Are you looking for someone like me to love and adore and to be loved and adored by me? Please do not wait and contact the shelter!
