Please go to hwhanimalrescue.com to find our adoption application. Meet Kiki! Kiki is a 2-3 year old, female, 45 pound, Carolina Dog mix. What’s a Carolina dog you might ask? Well, they are a medium sized dog, yellow in color, pack oriented dogs. Carolina dogs can be shy at first but quickly form loving bonds with other dogs and humans alike. They are incredibly loyal to their humans. Now more about Kiki! She has just completed her final duties as mother. She was an incredibly gentle, protective, fantastic mother to her puppies. She even would give her treats, toys and bones to her babies! Kiki is completely house broken, crate trained and knows basic commands and is fantastic with other dogs. She is treat motivated and corrects easily! She loves to be outside in the sun, chasing her foster family dogs around or contently chewing a bone or playing with a toy. Kiki is cautious meeting new people, especially men. She needs someone that will give her a little time to feel she can trust you and once she does, she turns into a lap dog and wants to be near you. Her personality really comes out when she feels safe and confident and does a little front paw dance when she’s happy to see you. Kiki would do best in a home without small children and less active. She needs a special family to give her a little time (took 24 hours with her foster family) to feel safe and once she does, she truly is an amazing happy dog with so much love to give.
