Murdock - Special, Sweet Boy!

Murdock is a very special boy looking for his very own family. Murdock was born blind, but that hasn't stopped him from enjoying life. He loves all people--even strangers. He has been great with kids (although we prefer older kids who understand Murdock is blind). He was originally a stray brought into a local WA State shelter who went unclaimed. From there, he went into a loving home with other dogs. After many, many months of trying to make it work, it is apparent that Murdock simply does not feel secure around other dogs and becomes very protective of himself. This makes sense, as Murdock likely feels more defenseless with the absence of his sight. Murdock has been seen by a Veterinary Ophthalmologist who confirmed that Murdock was born blind and is missing specific parts of his eyes for sight--but the good news is that Murdock is not in any pain and should not have any other complications throughout his life as a result. He is estimated to be between 1 - 2 years old. Murdock is a wonderful family dog who enjoys going on walks and is good on his leash; he is trusting of his human to guide him and enjoys taking in all the smells! He has also even developed an enjoyment of water with the trusting guidance of humans and, of course, his life jacket. Murdock is an affectionate and sweet boy who loves and trusts humans.
