MURPHY

Meet Mr Murphy. Murphy is 6 months old and red bull in a can. He is excited about life and will run around as long as you let him. At his age, the naps are less frequent and the parkour is constant. He is a lot of dog. He was surrendered because he was too much for his previous owners. Murphy loves everything and everyone. He’s shy with new things and will bork a little but if you give him a few seconds to realize its ok he is fine. He’s not soft like a typical border collie. He takes correction well. He’s also VERY sassy and will talk back. He lives with 5 other dogs right now and does well with all of them. Big and small, male and female. He is housebroken, you just have to watch his water intake and give him some alone time outside so he’s not distracted. He is crate trained but will complain. He can stay in his crate a normal work day and not have accidents. He will also sleep through the night. Murphy will need to go to an active home where he gets a lot of the focus. Loves toys and pretty much anything he can grab but physical and mental stimulation are a must. Search and rescue, herding, agility, etc. He’s still very bitey so little kids are a no. He will not go to an apartment. A backyard with a physical fence is required. No electric fences. There will be no exceptions to those rules. His foster dad is going to be very picky where he goes. Murphy will be adopted out with a neuter contract. Murphy is located in Newport News VA with his ARC foster sister Jade who is his best friend of the pack.
