My Story

SIAR is helping find homes for these puppies - here is is there story as told by their rescuer, Brenda:

Nattah, meaning "my heart" --a 9 month old female dutch shepherd was found in a field on Christmas Eve with 9 puppies, only days old. She was huddled against the wind in an old suitcase protecting these babies of hers against the freezing elements of winter==..Before we were able to get to her; four of her babies were sold for alcohol; with no possible survival. We put our reward signs and were able to get two of these babies back; with a total of seven that have had a nuturing mother but were also bottle fed as Nattah had been surviving off of grass and weeds and did not have alot to offer. Today, she is proud of her Healthy pups ...as her vet said; she was a puppy having puppies. Nattah is also up for adoption; young playful; genuine kindness and loves to run! The father of the puppies was a black Lab/ Shepherd that lived in the neighborhood...and the puppies certainly ascertain the truth behind that statement. There are seven puppies and they are 8 weeks old; there are two brindle sheps that look like their mother and 5 black and white pups; taking after their father. Four Males and Three Females. The pups are very much socialized with adult dogs and their nanny and are very happy puppies and they are FAT! They are potty trained to newspaper and when it is not storming they understand to go outside :-) We are looking for wonderful homes...families that have time for puppies and understand the commitment it takes to raise these Christmas presents of ours. Please email [email protected] or SIARfor an application! They will get their second series of vaccinations and microchip on February 8 and they are scheduled to be spayed and neutered at 5-6 months old. The adoption donation is $250.00 for each of the pups which will include the spay and neuter.
