ADOPTED! - Meet Nelly! He's a loving, 7-yr old purebred Chihuahua who gets along great with other dogs and cats, is housebroken, and he can even do a "high five", "give paw", and "sit"! Nelly's previous owners chose to surrender him to our rescue because they both worked full time and Nelly was sad and lonely, being home alone for so many hours. For this reason, we would prefer that Nelly's next home not be another "latchkey" situation. In other words, an adopter who works out of his/her home--or an adopter who is retired or works just part time--would be perfect for him. He would also enjoy a safely fenced yard to play in (please, no invisible fencing). Weighing in at just 13 lbs., Nelly could easily be inadvertently injured by a small child, so we cannot adopt him to a family who has children under the age of ten. If you are interested in adopting Nelly, please e-mail us at:
[email protected] and tell us about yourself, your lifestyle, your family situation, your work schedule, etc. Then--if we feel you would be a good match for Nelly (and Nelly, for you)--we will e-mail you an adoption application. .

We do not operate a humane society or shelter, so we do not have a facility that is open to the public. Our dogs are fostered by volunteers in private homes, and are not available for viewing until an adoption application is filled out and references are checked. Please read the information on our home page (by clicking on our rescue name below this dog's photo) before contacting us.
