Olive

Olive, along with her sister (adopted), were found as strays in Meadow Lake at the end of Nov. 09. Born April 2008 she has short, smooth hair, is spayed and up to date with vaccs and is also microchipped so can go to a new home right away. Volunteers would vote Olive as one of their favourite dogs at the shelter. Olive is a gorgeous, sleek, delicate looking dog who has wonderful manners. Olive walks well on a leash and does not pull or jump up. She knows the command sit and lay down. She is house trained and is well socialized with dogs, cats, adults and kids. While visiting one of our volunteers homes for the day she is well behaved inside and outside..other than playfully chasing the cat. Olive loves to go on "off leash" walks with the other shelter dogs where she starts the race that she always wins. Olive runs so fast and is just beautiful to watch as she runs in circles through the long grassy fields, chasing birds and bounding into the sloughs . Olive also likes to go on " off leash" walks on the forest trails as well, where she stays very close to her foster mom always looking back to see if she is coming or walks right by her side. Although Olive seems like she will be calm in the house she will need to go to a home where she can go on regular walks and runs.
