Omar is a wonderful, friendly, happy boy! He came into CCAR’s foster program as a stray hold through Carlton County Sheriffs office and he brightened our days from the moment we picked him up. He was not claimed and we do not know his past.
He is estimated to be a 9-12 month old German shepherd. He has been around multiple people, dogs, cats, and children! He has all the puppy energy. He’s currently in a 4 week program with RR Professional Dog Training & Boarding at the Moose Lake Prison where he’s working on basic obedience and learning structure.
He gets anxious if you are in a hurry to get him in a vehicle but if you take your time and are calm he jumps right in. It sometimes takes him a minute or two to get comfortable around new men, but then warms up pretty quickly. He loves to play and is looking for a forever home that will give him the opportunity to utilize his energy and enthusiasm.
Omar is microchipped, up to date on vaccinations, and HW negative, and will be ready to be adopted after he is neutered on 8/13 and we are accepting applications at this time.
