Otis

Hello Everyone! My name is Otis I am senior gentleman of 10 years old. I have been 'fixed' so they say and they call my breed, a Wheaten Terrier. I have found myself at the humane society because my former owner died. The rest of the family couldn't keep me so they brought me here. Oh...I was so sad because I loved my former owner so very much. But boy, is everybody here at the humane society ever nice. They staff and volunteers give me a lot of good ol' TLC.

When I arrived, I was in ruff shape! I had a bad thing going on with my fur...boy oh boy it was dirty and matted real bad. It hurt to move 'cuz those mats pulled and pinched my skin. I also had a wart ( a big one) on the top of my head. Hey...but guess what? The shelter has the BEST people in the whole wide world that support all of the pets here. And I had some kind people help me! First of all, Kristin Marietti of Pampered Paws Doggy Spa in Negaunee came and got me and brought me to her Spa for a day of pampering. I got the works! Didn't she do a awesome job! I look like a youngster with my new haircut and boy do I ever feel great!

And there is more...Kathi Leone sponsored my vet care and because of her kindness, I had the wart removed from the top of my head. (the picture was taken after I went to the vet, see my stitches...the video is before). Also Ann & Garrett Brownell have sponsored me and paid for my vaccinations! WooHoo!! Now...a little more about me. I am housetrained and a pretty neat fellow. I like older kids, cats and most other nice dogs. They call me 'Mr. Mild Mannered'! I don't get worked up about anything. I love to go for walks and bike rides. Just don't expect me to be running a marathon, but I do ok. I used to LOVE going camping a lot! I like to also go for car rides! I love to be pet, especially now that I am all groomed up. So if you are looking for a devoted, sweet, easy going fellow, come on out to the Marquette County Humane Society and meet me! I'll be waiting for you!
