This dog is currently out of state but will be transported to New England shortly with no additional travel costs. The long distance adoption process includes talking to the foster they are living with in the south. Thank you!** Meet Otto - an almost 9 month old, Weimaraner mix, who weighs approximately 39 pounds (as of 7/30/24). Otto was found as a stray by a Park Ranger. Otto was found with his brother wandering around in a field - lost and hungry. They were brought to us and since entering our care have been nursed back to health and regained their strength. These boys are happy & healthy and ready to find their forever family! We can't believe he has been waiting almost two months already! Trust us - this boy is WAAAAAAAY cuter than his pictures! This boy and his brother were found dumped and starving in a state park. His brother has been adopted and Otto is looking for his turn. He is a bit vocal but it's mainly to get your attention. He likes to play and has tons of energy! He greets strangers with no issues and does well with kids (we're working on his jumping). He is doing great in foster care with the other resident pups. He greets strangers with no issues and does well with kids too. It is most likely that both their parents were strays and even if not, mixes of some sort and that their grandparents were mixes as well. The dog may have some genetic material of an American Staffordshire Terrier (pit bull). The dogs are usually mixes of many breeds, making them a breed all their own - a True and adorable American MUTT. If you are interested in this dog, you must submit an application.
