Paisley

Paisley is a two year old Poodle/Brittany mix (confirmed by DNA) who is a high spirited, wonderfully loving and happy dog. She does well with all humans and other dogs, loves to go for walks on a leash, and is crate trained and clean in the house. She is extremely active and high energy and would make a wonderful dog for agility and possibly other dog sports and has been easily trained to the basics of "sit" and "wait".. She would not be appropriate for a cat household - she constantly tries to get them engaged in playing with her and the average cat does not appreciate the intensity. Paisley came from an Amish farm but was surrendered to us rather than to be used for breeding. She has a gorgeous curly red coat which does shed, surprising given her poodle heritage. Paisley's new home requirements: -A secure fenced in yard - she loves to tear around every which way and needs a safe off leash place to do that. She is not a fence jumper but is a bit of a digger. -A home where she would have human interaction frequently during the day. She adores attention. -Another dog, non aggressive and not too big in the home would delight her. Our adoption process requires a telephone interview, a meet/greet, a home visit, and a vet reference. Applicants must reside within 50 miles of Ithaca, NY. Paisley's adoption fee is $450.00 and she is spayed, microchipped, current on vaccines, and heartworm negative.
