DOB: 08/21/2015 Meet Paloma, a remarkable twenty-pound mix who captured our hearts when she arrived at our shelter in February of 2023. Little did we know, Paloma had an incredible journey ahead of her – one that would exemplify her strength and determination. Just a week after her arrival, Paloma surprised us with the news that she was pregnant. Her unwavering spirit and motherly instincts shone bright as she embarked on the path of motherhood. In March of last year, Paloma underwent an emergency c-section to bring her precious puppies into the world. Since then, her puppies have found loving homes, but Paloma's journey is far from over. Paloma's life hasn't always been easy. For her first eight years, she experienced the outdoors as her home. Yet, despite her past challenges, Paloma's heart remains open and ready to embrace the joys of a new life. She spent a few months in foster care, where she gradually adapted to the comforts of indoor living and cherishing moments of play with her foster siblings. Due to the lack of proper vet care during her outdoor days, Paloma came to us heartworm positive. But fear not – she has been successfully treated and has now tested negative!
