Meet Papi, the perfect combination of playfulness and intelligence! Papi is a 2-3 year old black Lab mix that weighs approximately 50 lbs. He is neutered, crate trained, chipped, and up to date on all vaccines and preventatives. This sweet guy loves human contact! He had been part of a group of shy, abandoned puppies and adult dogs before our rescue began befriending them. That’s when Papi decided that being in a home would be much better than living on the street. He completely transformed. Always forced to shy away from people - they had only tried to hurt him, after all - suddenly his playful nature emerged. He felt safe and secure and learned to completely trust people. He began playing with toys and gently engaging every human he encountered in his antics. Papi craves being touched and snuggled; the closer the contact the more joyful he becomes. The only thing missing in his life now to make him completely happy is having his very own family to love.
